John W.Marshall

John W. Marshall, 62, of Greenville, died Thursday, December 11, 2008, at his residence.  Funeral services will be Sunday, December 14, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Bob Layman officiating.  Burial with military honors will be at Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Marshall was born in Greenville on December 1, 1946, the son of John Thomas and Ruby Lee Patterson Marshall.  He was a crane operator for Weatherford Artificial Lift Company and a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Brian Marshall and wife Kari of Greenville; daughter Andrea Holt and husband Steve of Greenville; sister Martha Hill of Greenville; grandchildren Christopher and Jordan Holt of Greenville; nephew William Hill and wife Becky of Greenville; great nieces and nephews, Heather Tredway, Alexandrea Hill, Tori Hill, Shyane Hill and Justin Hill; and a friend, Sandra Wolfe of Mesquite.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be William Hill, Brian Marshall, Les White, Sammy Lancester and Willie Hass.

Visitation will be Saturday, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
