Robert Hibbs Manskey, 78, of West Tawakoni and Mineral Wells, passed away on July 2, 2022, surrounded by family at his residence. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Mineral Wells, TX on July 16th at 11 am.
Bob was born on June 7, 1944, in Cook County, Illinois to Augustus Virgil Manskey and Irene Stockman Manskey. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1970. He married Gayle Ekrut Manskey on August 23, 1975, at Haltom Road Baptist Church in Haltom City, Texas, they were happily married for 46 years.
Bob was a beloved family man and avid hobbyist. He enjoyed studying history with a focus on the WWII era. Bob operated The Mineral Ring race track at the Mineral Wells Airport for 20+ years and worked to bring in car clubs from all over the US. He especially enjoyed golfing and shooting skeet with his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle; sons, Rob, Eric, and Andrew; daughter, Courtney; brothers, Bill, Jim, and Tom; sister, Susan; grandchildren, Audrey Manskey, Owen Manskey, and Kyle Manskey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John.
