Charles Kenneth Hodges, 86, of Golden, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, in Greenville, Texas. A celebration of Life will be on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mr. Hodges was born October 22, 1935, in Mt. Olive, Alabama to Fermon Belton Hodges and Alice Lanora Elliott Hodges. He worked in Administrative Services for State Farm Insurance. Charles was a family man, he loved being a father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked hard to support his family. Charles loved sports, and in his younger years he coached baseball and loved to hunt. Charles was a lifelong fan of The University of Alabama “Roll Tide”, he loved to watch their games, and he tried never to miss one.
He is survived by his son, Charles Michael Hodges; daughters, Sheree Dudley & husband Mike, and Lynne Cook & husband James; grandchildren, Eric Battison, Shauna Dura & husband Josh, and Britnie Davidson & husband David; and great grandchildren Devon Battison, Ryen Dudley, Dylen Hurlburt, Hunter Hurlburt and Cooper Dura; first wife Jean Loftis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jan Hodges, his parents, sisters, Louise Fields, and WyNell Kurtz, brothers, Bobby Hodges and Dean Hodges.
