Brett Truett Tarpley, 47, of Scatterbranch, passed away on July 31, 2022, at his residence. A celebration of life will be August 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Scatterbranch Ranch @ 3209 FM 2874 Commerce, Texas, 75428. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Brett was born on January 17, 1975, in Greenville, Texas to Richard Lee and Deborah Lynn Tarpley. Brett grew up in Commerce and was a graduate from Commerce High School, after high school Brett continued his education at East Texas State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in art and then Brett went on to create one of the most vivid of lives. Brett loved farming and ranching. Brett was loved by so many and will be forever in our hearts.
Brett is survived by his father Richard Tarpley & wife Linda of Scatterbranch, older brother Shane Tarpley & wife Amanda of Scatterbranch, nieces Brittany Bishop, Mandy Draper, Kamrin Lang, Ruby Lang and Robin Lang, nephews Kansas Tarpley & Dakota Lang, aunt Truetta Lancaster, oldest brother Rick Draper & wife Traci, younger sister Bonnie Lang & husband Dan and numerous cousins and lots of friends who loved Brett very much.
