Don Ferrell McCraw, 73 of Greenville, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 10:10 A.M. at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 2 P.M. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Burns officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. McCraw was born on August 22, 1934 in Delhi, Oklahoma to James Elvis McCraw and Mary Pike. He married Norma Sue McGuffey on August 1, 1951 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He retired from E-Systems/Raytheon as an aircraft painter. He was a member of the Floyd Baptist Church, Hope Masonic Lodge #481-Commanche, Texas and Hopkins Masonic Lodge #180-Cumby, Texas.
Mr. McCraw is survived by his son, Shane McCraw of Uvalde, Texas, son and wife, Douglas and Donna McCraw of Cumby, daughter, Darla Stovall of Greenville, brother, James McCraw of Odessa, Doyle McCraw of Memphis, TN, sister, Blance Gibson of Borger, sister, Rebecca Larosa of Nyack, NY, grandchildren, Angela Morrison, Lindsea Lenamond, Heath McCraw, Trent McCraw and Savanah Neal/McCraw, great-grandchildren, Heather McCraw, Lane McCraw, Carley Morrison, Jalyn Lenamond and Jaden Lenamond.
He was preceded in death by his wife in November of 1999, brothers, Joseph in January of 1927, Elvis in July of 1984, Hugh January of 1990, Pete on February of 2001, Harlan, Sisters, Nancy Gill in June of 1938, Oleta Matthews in March of 1990 and Marie Sandusky in February of 2000.
Pallbearers will be Slack Brown, Travis Dean, Wade Eppars, Earl Eppars, Don Fallis, Rick Rex, Brad Rex, Dale Rex, Elmer Castner, Gary Cline, Bud Cline and Don Morgan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hope Masonic Lodge #481 and Hopkins Masonic Lodge #180.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
