Sharron Gail Trantham, 57, of Celeste, passed away on January 20, 2023, at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. A memorial service will be Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Celeste with Bro. Jim Sherwin officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Sharron was born on November 3, 1965, in Dallas, Texas to James F. Brown and Alice M. Chancellor Brown. Sharron married David Trantham on March 19, 1988, in Cooper, Texas. In her younger years Sharron worked as an EMT for Delta County. Later in life Sharron worked as a janitor for Commerce and Caddo Mills ISD, then went on to work for the Dallas Morning News for 13 years. Sharron is a member of the First Baptist Church of Celeste and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, and a graduate of Cooper High School, Class of 1983.
Sharron is survived by her husband David, daughters, Brandie Mallory, Candyce Trantham, Katlynn Trantham, Chasidy Trantham, Alicia Moore, mother Alice Moore, Sister Becky Lay, grandchildren Sean Mallory, Jesse Mallory and Roy Mann, sister in law, Kathy Brown, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her fur babies, Tumbleweed and Tinker.
Sharron is preceded in death by her father, brother James Brown, Jr., grandmothers Effie Chancellor and Gertie Brown, mother in law and father in law Lois and Roy Trantham, sister in law, Marjorie Trantham Brown, and aunt Bobby Allen.
