Sandy Thomas Mejia was a caring and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She left this world for a better place on February 2, 2023 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
Sandy was born February 24, 1981 in Dallas, Texas to John and Cindy Toland Thomas. She married Saul Mejia and became a homemaker. She had a green thumb and loved to plant vegetables in her backyard garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family whenever possible, and loved the simple pleasures that life has to offer. Sandy was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She opened her heart and her home to many friends throughout her life. Her kind heart and soul were felt by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She will be fondly and sorely missed.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Saul Mejia; mother, Cindy Thomas; sons, Seth Thomas, Shawn Thomas; daughter, Sarah Mejia Rangel and husband, Adrian; brother, John Thomas Jr and wife, Fallon; sister, Joann Belcher and husband, James; nephews, Joshua Powell and wife, Arely, Logan Belcher; nieces, Ava Thomas and Harlow Thomas.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Thomas; grandma, Edna Toland; uncle, Clint Toland; aunts Julie Samples, Nancy Hite; and step-dad, Dale Powell.
