Cecilia Ann Starkey, 83, of Greenville, passed away on September 8, 2023, in Greenville, Texas. A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Hogeye Cemetery in Celeste, Texas with Rev. Brad La Favers officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Starkey was born January 5, 1940, in Cash, Texas, to Lawrence Hagan and Alyne Spicer Hagan-Mulkey. She married Lester F. Starkey in Greenville, Texas, on April 9, 1977. She was a real estate broker and a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Mulkey Hopewell; daughters-in-law, Joyce Sumrow, Pam Gooch and husband, Tommy, and Nancy Starkey; grandchildren, Jeremy Sumrow, Jessica Sumrow, Julie Gadlin, Katrina Hagen and husband, Shane, Alisha Wagnor, Misty Garvin and husband, Ronnie, and Jerrod Starkey and wife, Shavell; nineteen great-grandchildren; nieces, Karen McGee and Sharen Ozarowski.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Spencer Thomas Sumrow, and Timothy Wayne Sumrow, and Mike Starkey; her parents; and great-granddaughter, Hailey Sumrow.
