Edith Bruton
Edith Mae Bruton, 88, of Caddo Mills died the night of February 19, 2009, at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Life Family Family Fellowship under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville. Rev. Butch Bruton will officiate. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the funeral home.
Daughter of I. H. and Minnie Bost Hagler, she was born March 21, 1920, in Hunt County, Texas. On March 25, 1936, she married C. B. Bruton in Hunt County. Mrs. Bruton retired as a seamstress for Haggar, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of New LIfe Family Fellowshipe in Caddo Mills.
Surviving are adaughter, Colleen Thomas of Caddo Mills; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe Bruton of Greenville and Butch and Darlene Bruton of Caddo Mills; grandchildren and their spouses Kevin and Cindy Thomas of North Carolina, Kay and Rick Tapp of Addison and Kathy and Vic Summers, Leslie and Chad Crow and Monty and Jennifer Bruton, all of Caddo Mills; and great-grandchildren Thomas Tapp and Jonathan Tapp of Addison, Kelly Thomas and Andrew Thomas of North Carolina and Victoria Summers, Caroline Summers, Paden Bruton, Bayleigh Bruton, Kennedy Bruton, Dalton Crow , Caitlyn Crow and Denim Crow, all of Caddo Mills.
Her parents; her husband, a son, Kenneth Bradford Bruton; and son-in-law Kenneth Thomas preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the new life Family Fellowship in Caddo Mills.
