"DEAREST SUE ANN,

WE HAVE SHARED A LIFETME WITH EACH OTHER, EACH OTHER'S FAMILY LOVED US AS THEIR OWN, BUT THE MOST PRECIOUS THING THAT YOU SHARED WITH ME WAS YOUR BELOVED DAUGHTER.

GRANTED IN THE BEGINNING WHEN SAM & MARY SUE, WENT OFF ON THE CRUISE, NEITHER ONE OF US KNEW WITCH END TO PUT THE DIAPER ON BUT WE SURE HAD FUN WITH ALEX. I DID ABANDON YOU TO GO OFF TO NAM BUT JIM WAS COMING HOME SOON AND FRANK & COZETTE WERE JUST A BLOCK AWAY. SOMEHOW ALEX SURVIVED OUR EARLY CARE, NONE THE WORST FOR WEAR.

IN LOOKING AT THE EARLY PICTURES AT THE MEMORIAL SERVICES, SHE REMINDED ME SO MUCH OF YOU AS WE GREW UP. WE HAD A GREAT TIME GROWING UP. REMEMBER WHAT THE BIG RABBIT DID, SAM BUILDING THE CAGE FOR THE OPOSSOM, & " WHAT IS YOUR FATHER & THAT HORSE DOING SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD".

JOE & I TRYED SO HARD TO BE THERE FOR ALEX & TO HELP HER WITH HER PROBLEMS. WE LOVE HER SO MUCH, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A DEEP HOLE THAT ONLY ALEX COULD FILL.

I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE THERE FOR ALEX WHEN SHE NEEDED ME AND I WASN'T. I AM SO GLAD THAT I COULD BE WITH HER RIGHT AFTER SO SHE WAS NOT ALONE OR WITH STRANGERS AT A VERY DIFFICULT TIME. I HAVE BEEN THINKING AND GOD MOVES IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS AND MAYBE THAT IS WHY I AM IN THE POSITION THAT I AM IN NOW WAS SO I COULD BE THERE FOR ALEX WHEN SHE NEEDED ME.

I LOVE YOU AND I WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU."
