"I was lucky enough to be introduced to Dan through his brother Buck going on 21 years. The fun we have all had together are some of the great memories of my life. I remember when he told me that his wife Lily didn’t speak English. I asked him how they communicated and he told me with hand signals. When I finally got to meet beautiful Lily, she came over to me speaking perfect English. I looked at him and said “You are in so much trouble!” He cracked up and so did the rest of us. That’s who he was, a gifted since of humor and an absolute heart of gold. I have seen the wonderful things he has done for others. One time when they were coming to dinner for Thanksgiving he called me to say they couldn’t be there! I was devastated! This was while I was in the kitchen and they were walking in the front door. 😂 He was a riot and will never forget the fun we have all had together. Just sad that all of us being so busy has kept us a part. So glad I spoke with him about a week ago. Still cannot believe he is gone, it doesn’t seem possible. It is absolutely heartbreaking. Will miss him forever. An amazing and wonderful friend and man. Love you Dan, always 😢"

"Dan is a great human being who always brought a smile to my face! He was always willing to help anyone & was one of the hardest working men I know. You will be missed Dan! I will miss seeing you across the road baling hay & farming!"
