Geraldine Terry Lawhon, Age 89, of Greenville passed away on March 23, 2009 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.  Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at Johnson Street Church of Christ in Greenville with Randy Daw officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lawhon was born on February 10, 1920 in Floyd, Texas to Frank Andrew and Valera Williams Terry.  After graduating from Floyd High School, she came to Greenville to work.  On July 20, 1945, she married Wallace Lawhon in Greenville.  She was an expert seamstress and began sewing for others.  She owned and operated Lawhon’s Fabric Shop from 1960 to 1972.  She then worked for The Lobby Shop until she retired permanently.  She and Wallace loved to go camping.  Her family and friends were always welcome in their home.  She was a longtime, active member of Johnson Street Church of Christ.
