Reba Joyce Wood Nicholson, 79, passed away on October 15, 2026, on her birthday. Born in Whitehouse, Texas, to Ulious and Margarete Wood, both whom preceded her in death. Reba lived a life centered around family, hard work, and the relationships she cherished.

Reba was married to the love of her life, Roger Dee Nicholson, for 60 years. Roger preceded her in death, and their life together was an important part of her story. Their family and the memories they created together remain a lasting part of her legacy.

Throughout her working years, Reba was employed at Henson's, Shirey's, Howard Wolfe, and Haggar Slacks before joining Rubbermaid, where she found her favorite job in the Human Resources office. She eventually retired after many years of loyal service. Affectionately known as "Mrs. Reba", she genuinely enjoyed helping employees with their benefits and making sure they received the assistance they needed. The friendships she formed along the way meant a great deal to her, and her kindness and willingness to help others made her a special part of the Rubbermaid family.

Above all, Reba loved her family. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life: working in her yard, fishing, quilting, and creating special sewing projects for her grandchildren. Through the time and love she put into each handmade creation, she gave her family keepsakes to treasure for years to come. She also enjoyed sitting on her porch with her cat, watching the hummingbirds come and go. These familiar comforts and the things she lovingly made for those closest to her were part of what made her uniquely herself.

Reba's greatest legacy is the family she loved, the love she poured into them, and the memories she leaves behind.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Nicholson and her husband, Dror Golan, of Plano, Texas, and Kellie Harris and her husband, Bryan, of Henrietta, Texas. Her beloved grandchildren are Emily Harris Beratto and her husband, Chase, of Mill Creek, Oklahoma; Eric Harris and his wife, Whitney, of Shallowater, Texas; Scarlet Walls Ostrowski and her husband, Michael, of Houston, Texas; and Aiden Walls and his partner, Hailey Bellamy, of Denton, Texas. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Emersyn Beratto, Graham Harris, and Heidi Mae Harris, who brought another generation of love and joy to her family.

Reba is also survived by her siblings and extended family, including Sherilyn Matthews, Mark Wood, Pete and Betty Nicholson, Monty and Kay (Childers) Nicholson, Martha Angel, and Paul Ramsey, all of Greenville, Texas, and Rita Nicholson of North Carolina, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Linda Dudley, Glenda Jo Davis, Rita Sinquefield, Marilyn Rogan and her husband Greg, Curtis Wayne and Allen Nicholson.

Reba will be remebered for her love of family, her strong work ethic, her helpful heart, and the everyday moments that made life special. She found joy in tending to her yard, fishing, quilting, sewing special treasures for her grandchildren, and spending quiet afternoons on her porch with her cat nearby and hummingbirds fluttering around her. And somewhere close at hand, there was probably a Little Debbie cake.

Those who loved Reba will carry her with them in the stories they tell, the traditions they keep, and the simple moments that bring her to mind. Perhaps, in the quiet of an afternoon, when a hummingbird appears or a favorite sweet treat is enjoyed, they will feel a little closer to her. Her porch may be quieter now, but the love she shared will never leave. She will forever be part of the family she loved so dearly.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Women In Need. Donations may be sent to Women In Need, P. O. Box 349, Greenville, Texas 75403, or made through their official website.
