Reta Ann Schulke, 89, of Caddo Mills, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2026, at her home.

Reta was born on September 25, 1937, in Lyons, Kansas, to Leonard Schulz and Clara Weyand. On May 25, 1957, she married the love of her life, Marshall Schulke, in Lyons, Kansas. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Reta dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. As a homemaker, she created a home filled with warmth and love.

Reta enjoyed getting lost in a good book and had a love for shopping, especially when it came to shoes. She had quite the shoe collection and firmly believed there was always room for one more pair. She was also known for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and just the right amount of sarcasm. She had a way of making people laugh, often when they least expected it, and those who knew her best knew there was always a clever remark waiting to be shared. Her humor, kindness, and loving spirit made her truly one of a kind.

Above all, Reta treasured her family. Having moved to Texas in recent years, she was able to spend precious time close to those she loved, creating memories that her family will forever cherish.

Reta is survived by her son, Doug Schulke; daughter, Susan Tucker and her husband, Scotty; granddaughter, Kayci Schellinger; and great-grandsons, Rece and Bodi Schellinger.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marshall Schulke, and her parents, Leonard Schulz and Clara Weyand.

Although her family will miss her dearly, they find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and has been reunited with her beloved husband. Her family will forever carry her love in their hearts, her laughter in their memories, and perhaps a little of her sarcasm in their own conversations.
