Thelma Kilgore, 88, of Greenville passed away Saturday, October 13, 2007, in Greenville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday,October 16th, at the Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Kevin Herbert and Rev. Randy Rther officiating. Burial will follow in the Memoryland Memorial Park . Pallbearers will be Steve Holley, Jason Kilgore, Jeremy Kilgore, Joshua Holley, Klinton Kilgore, James Holley, Garrett Kilgore and Jackson Kilgore.
Ms. Kilgore was born in Emory, Texas on June 17, 1919 and was the daughter of John William Waskom and Lillie Emma(Ivie) Waskom. She married L.J. Kilgore on September 23, l940. She was a retired seamstress at Haggar Slacks Co.
She was a member of North Baptist Church and is remembered as loving her family, enjoying gardening, quilting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband in July of l988, five brothers, William James Lynn, Clayton Waskom, Everett Waskom, Robert Waskom, Ralph Waskom, sister, Corene Waskom Sturdivant.
Survivors include Son & Daughter-in-law,Jimmy & Retha Kilgore of Greenville,daughter & son-in-law, JoAnn & Ronald Holley of Greenville, Sister, Lela Elizabeth(Waskom) Darrow of Miller Grove, Grandsons & wives, Steve & Jeneace Holley, Jason & Christina Kilgore, Jeremy & Debra Kilgore, and grandson,Scott Holley, Great-Grandchildren, Amanda Holley, Joshua Holley, James Holley, Klinton Kilgore, Emelie Kilgore, Garrett Kilgore, Morgan Kilgore, and Malorie Kilgore.
Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
