Mary Morgan passed away October 17, 2007 in Dallas following a lengthy illness.  Mary, known affectionately to friends and loved ones as “Mimi” was born in Brashear, Texas on February 9, 1921 and was a life long resident of Greenville.  She graduated from East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce and was married to James E. (Tody) Morgan July 28, 1946.  Her husband of 58 years, Tody, her parents, Guy and Rebecca Black, a twin sister, Sara Black Kilmer of Greenville, and her older brother, Elbert Black of Baytown, preceded her in death.

She worked along side her husband in their accounting practice until their retirement, and was a devoted wife, Mother, and partner.  Mary was an original member of the Greenville High School Flaming Flashes.  She was an active member of the Junior Palace Club, Ridgecrest Baptist Church, and various social clubs in Greenville.  She and Tody enjoyed times spent with friends and family at their Club Lake cabin, fishing at South Padre Island, and especially “motor homing” around the country meeting new friends, and visiting new places.

Mimi loved playing Bridge and Shanghai Rummy with her friends until her health prevented her participation.

She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Ginger and Jim Childers of Dallas,  Pat and Phil Frazier of Austin, Grandchildren Wendi and James Wade of Austin, Jeff and Erin Frazier of Salt Lake City, and great grandchildren Alex, Alia, and Benjamin Childers of Plano, Nephews Chris Kilmer of Greenville, Skip Kilmer of Carrollton, and Niece Rebecca Kilmer of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Family will receive visitation on Friday, October 19th between 4–6 PM.  Services will be held at Coker-Mathews Chapel in Greenville at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 20th with interment following at Memoryland Memorial Park.  Dr. David Stubblefield and Mr. Murray Pickens will be officiating the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family would request memorial donations be made to the American Leukemia Society.

Pallbearers are Steve Davis, Gary Pickens, Chris Kilmer, Skip Kilmer, Steve Frazier and F. A. Frazier III.

Visitation will be held from 4 - 6 PM on Friday, October 19, 2007 at the funeral home.
