Burness (Chambers) Overall, 97, of Greenville passed away on August 11, 2009 at Briarcliff Health Center. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byron Myrick officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Overall was born on January 8, 1912 in Quinlan, Texas, to D. M. (Pete) Chambers and Fannie Mae Knox Chambers. On October 9, 1934, she married O. K. Overall, and they were married for 54 years until his death in April, 1995. She was a homemaker and member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Her survivors include her nieces Lilla Ramsey of Seguin, Janie Taylor of Point, Marlene Wood of Florida, Ann Evans and husband Tommy of Quinlan, Vinna Kay Rye and husband Gregory of Killeen; nephew Bobby Chambers and wife, Nina of Azle; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, five brothers, and two infant daughters.
Marty Manning, Teddy Manning, Jerry Morgan, Steve Ramsey, Terry Ramsey, and Bobby Taylor will serve as pallbearers. Greg Rye, Gregory Rye, and Randy Taylor will be honorary pallbearers.
