Barbara McCartney Mason of Norman, Oklahoma entered into the Presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 4, 2009. Barbara was born on September 28, 1924 in Lavon, Texas. After graduating from Greenville High School and Southern Methodist University, she married Jack Reeves Mason, a WWII Naval pilot, also from Greenville. Barbara was a dedicated homemaker, a wonderful cook and a lively conversationalist. Her family and friends will miss her joyful enthusiasm and her eagerness to help those in need.
Survivors are daughter Margaret Arnold of Norman, Oklahoma and husband Bill; daughter Meredith Roark of Frisco, Texas and husband Chuck; grandson Jack Harris Arnold of Cedar Park, Texas and wife Amparo; granddaughter Amanda Boyd Mueller of Sachse, Texas and husband Bert; and great-grandchildren, Jaden and Jackson Arnold and Trey and Boyd Mueller.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack R. Mason; her parents O'Reda Boyd McCartney and Ewell Pierce McCartney; and her brother William Boyd McCartney.
