Hazel Maurine Andrews Turner, 92, of Greenville passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday in the Coker-Mathews Chapel with Mr. James Voss and Mr. Gordon Grammer officiating. Interment will follow at Mt.Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Hazel was born on January 27, 1917 to Conley Joseph and Eva Lena Rutz Andrews in Celeste, Texas. She married Swanzy Eugene Turner on April 12, 1935 in Greenville, Texas. She was a faithful member of Southside Church of Christ in Greenville for many years.
She is survived by a son, Paul Eugene Turner of Lindale, Texas; a daughter, Elizabeth Kay Cotton and husband, Morell of Mesquite, Texas; a brother, Conley Joseph Andrews Jr. of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Juanita Ruth Voss od Greenville, Texas; three grandchildren, Julie Nicholson and husband, Gary of Arlington, Texas, Paul Turner Jr. of New York, and Kasey Bischoff and husband, Brian of Dallas; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Nicholson, Trey Nicholson and Maddison Turner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband on April 4, 1996.
Pallbearers will be Karl Andrews, Brian Bischoff, Tommy Cargile, Larry Myers , Gary Nicholson, Randy Turner, Stanley Turner and Steve Turner.
