"Oh MamMaw. Even though my most recent memories of you were in the nursing home and we lived so far away, I can still remember those times when I was little and we would sit in the living room in your house and watch Loony Tunes. I loved the times when we'd go to spend the night (or a few days) at MamMaw's house. It was always so fun to pull up with the loaded car and wait for the front door to open.

Even though you are gone, I am happy that you are not in that nursing home anymore and out of your bed free to do as you please. I love you MamMaw."

"We are so sorry that we can not be there. We are grateful for the wonderful time we shared with Mammaw on our last visit. We are so glad that she was able to know all of our children. I (Elizabeth) will share all of my great memories of Mammaw, cooking in the kitchen, sewing us dresses, and making us playdough, with my children. We pray for her children who will miss her greatly and we rejoice for Mammaw as she is freed from this world of pain and is now truly living!"

"MamMaw, it's so hard to put in writing exactly how I feel... so much runs through my mind when I think of you. You loved me like your very own and you taught me so much. I will never forget the many long conversations on the phone... your wonderful cooking, funny stories and unconditional love. Thank you for all that you did for me and my family.... your constant prayers and words of encouragement meant so much to me. If I'm ever privileged to be a Grandmother some day, I want to be a MamMaw like you. I will love and miss you always... I will see you someday on the other side. Give Gran a big hug from me :) I love you, MamMaw."
