Nelda Joyce Edwards, 61, of Greenville died November 7, 2009, at Parkland Hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. J.D. Lott will officiate.
Visitatin is from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at the funeral home.
Daughter of Thomas Clifford "T.C." and Ruby Alene Bruner Boyd, she was born March 23, 1948, in Greenville. On August 19, 1968, she married Eddie Earl Edwards in Greenville. Mrs. Edwards was a witress at C. B.'s for 17 years. She was a member of Assembly of God.
Surviving are two sons, Cliff Edwards and wife Lauren and Shane Edwards and wife Laura, all of Greenville; brother Thomas Boyd and wife Sherry of Greenville; sisters Joy Begs, Barbara Carmichael and husband Guy and Snadra Nicholson and husband Mark, all of Greenville; two grandchildren, Logan Edwards and Samantha Edwards, both of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, Eddie Dewayne Edwards; daughter, Karen Sue Boyd; and brother-in-law, Aaron Beggs.
Pallbearers will be Heath Beggs, Cody Boyd, Guy Carmichael, Cliff Edwards, Shane Edwards and Derek Green.
