Billy Weatherly, 83, of Greenville passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010, in Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2010 at the funeral home.
Mr. Weatherly was born February 7, 1926, in Greenville; the son of John Issac and Rose Monroe Weatherly. He married Mary Jo Shepherd on October 6, 1948, in Greenville.
Mr. Weatherly was employed in insurance sales and he was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jo Weatherly of Greenville; daughter, Linda Weatherly Bryant & husband Bill of Greenville; sister, Frances Beane of Greenville; grandson, Jeff Arnwine and wife Geni of Greenville; granddaughters, Amanda Skinner and husband Mark of Whitewright and Jennifer Brown and husband Brian of Celeste; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Danny Keith Weatherly; and grandson, Brian Keith Weatherly.
Pallbearers are Jeffrey Arnwine, Euvell Grubbs, Fred McCorkle, Venancio Osornio, Wes Shepherd and Mark Skinner.
