Pauline E. Daugherty, 89, of Celeste died Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Leonard Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services are at 2 P.M on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Samuel Glenn officiating and under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mrs. Daugherty was born December 6, 1917 in Greenville, the daughter of H.C. and Olive Wood Ledbetter. She was married to Truman Daugherty on October 16, 1938 in Greenville.
She was a homemaker and a member of Peniel Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Ed Holland of Quitman and Paul Daugherty of Tyler, daughters, Carol Kilgore of Lexington, Nelda Haney of Lincoln, Brenda Linton of Blue Ridge and Phylliss Hamilton of Merit, brother, Joe Ledbetter of Greenville, sisters, Aline Pemberton, Florence Daugherty, Eulalia Torris and Sylvia Spears all of Greenville, 27 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, three sons, Andrew Daugherty, James Daugherty and Roger Daugherty, two sistesr, Beatrice McCurdy and Elveda Irons, one brother, Clarence Ledbetter, two grandsons, Bobby Haney and Michael Haney.
Pallbearers are James Daugherty, Raymond Daugherty, Allen Daugherty, Kevin Holland, Sean Linton and Michael Hamilton.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 P.M. today at the funeral home.
