Vera Evelyn Coleman, 74, of Vidor passed away May 26, 2010 at her home with her family. Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Grissom officiating. Interment will follow at
A native of southeast Texas since 1975, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Coleman, Sr.; her daughter Vicki Diane Hamilton of Sachse; sister, Glendine Rebecca Dunson; and brothers, Nathan Juble Early, Joseph Sampson Early, Gervis Milton Early and James Morgan Early.
Her survivors include her son, Robert Delaine Coleman, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Mauriceville; daughters Deborah Janelle Lockwood of Sachse and Sandra Lynn Owen and her husband Thomas A. Owen of Vidor; seven grandchildren Walter D. Cash and Faith Ann Bennett of Kentucky; Gerald W. Hammonds, Jr. of Sachse, Amber N. Raley and Chase A. Owen of Vidor, Michelle C. Coleman of Nebraska, and Christopher D. Coleman of Sachse; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Lowery Sinclair Early of Toledo Bend and Julius Edgar Early of Amarillo; sister, Herma Lucille Morris of Amarillo; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
