Deron Mayner, 92, of Greenville was united with her “sweet Jesus” on the morning of June 12, 2010.

Deron was born August 18, 1917, in Madill, Oklahoma. She was the only daughter of seven children born to James Shelby Eddington and Gladys Bain Eddington. On March 7, 1936, Deron married James Hoyt Mayner in Durant, Oklahoma; he preceded her in death on September 19, 1980. Together they owned and operated Mayner Produce on Market Square for fifty years until Deron’s retirement in January, 2010. Deron loved all of her customers and will be remembered by the endearing way that she greeted each one as “Honey” or “Darling”.

Deron is survived by sons Charlie Mayner and Eddy Mayner and wife Ginny of Greenville. She was “Mamaw” to grandchildren Kevin Evans, Julie Mayner Duke, Kyle Mayner, Kim Mayner, Courtney Mayner Jennings, Chelsea Mayner Perreault; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brothers Hulon Eddington, Jerry Eddington and J.W. Eddington.

In addition to her husband, Deron was preceded in death by her parents, son Gerald Mayner, and brothers Garland Eddington, A.B. Eddington and Ronald Gene Eddington.

Family visitation will be held on Monday, June 14, from 6 to 8 PM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. The family will have a private graveside.

The entire family would like to acknowledge the loving care that was given to our sweet Mother, Grandmother and Sister by her son, Charlie. He was her loyal caregiver until the end. We love you, Charlie.
