Rena Hackett Slagle, 93 of Greenville, formerly of Garland, passed away on November 21, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis French officiating. A graveside service will be held at Restland Memorial Park at 2:30 P.M. in Dallas.
Mrs. Slagle was born in Hartford, Arkansas on August 24, 1914 to I.W. Wright and Anna Mae Jarnigan. She was in car sales for 30 years in Garland and was a homemaker. She was a former member of First Baptist of Garland and present member of Friendship Baptist in Pecan Gap.
She is survived by her daughters, Anna M. Jones of Greenville, Katherine L. French of Greenville and Dr. Barbara Liner of Sevierville, TX, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Speed M. Jones, III, Michael Sterling Jones, Brett Allyn Jones, Evan Arthur French, Joshua Liner, Speed M. Jones IV.
