George ThurmanStark

George Thurman Stark, 88, of Caddo Mills passed away November 4, 2010 in Hunt County.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Caddo Mills I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Rev. Randall Bost will officiate.  Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Stark was born March 6, 1922 in Hunt County to Herbert and Mary Nelson Stark. On January 17, 1952, he married Eula Mae Wilcox in Greenville.  He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII and was a retired electrician from Temco. 

His survivors include his wife of Caddo Mills; one son Jimmy Charles Stark of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four daughters Nena McLarry, Tammy Hampton, Kristy Stewart, and DeDe Wiggs all of Caddo Mills; sisters Serena Helton, and Owana DeGarso of Greenville and Judy Stone of Caddo Mills; grandchildren Tony, Travis and Violet McLarry, Valerie Winans, Jeremy and Jordan Hampton, Sara McCasland, Shelby Stewart, Jax, Gus, Lola, Bryson, and Brody McLarry, John Wiggs, Melissa, Phillip, Matthew and Anna St. Clair, Michelle and Bryon Cliff; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents; daughter Sandra Stark; sister Dorothy Jean Ray and brother Billy Ray Stark.

Pallbearers will be Tony McLarry, Travis McLarry, Jeremy Hampton, Jerry Stewart, Jimmy Hampton, and Nick Wiggs.
