Clyde Edward Cotner, 86, of Greenville passed away the morning of November 26, 2010, at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2010 in the Coker-Mathews chapel with Rev. Randay Rather officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park with Les Chapman, Bob Duckwoth, Don Irvine, James Mitchell, Raymon Webb Montgomery and Mark Riggs serving as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the funeral home.
Born September 14, 1924, in Nevada, Texas, he was the son of Josephn and Alice Edwards Cotner. He married Flossie Williams on October 4, 1946, in Greenville. Mr. Cotner served in the U. S. Army. He was a retired inspector for E-Systems and was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; brother, Joe B. Cotner of Garland; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family, including Margie and Harold Riggs; Debby and James Mitchell and their daughters, Erin and Amanda; Donna and Mike Macaluso and their daughters, Andrea and Meredith; and Mark and Jill Riggs and their son, Kyle, daughter Jessica and grandchildren Luke and Riley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sister; Robert Cotner, Opal Wright, Doyle Cotner, Ruby Pippin, Jewel Pippin, Eula Fay Wilcox, Mary Gay Duckworth and Margaret Lang.
