Viola Marie Lowe Mize Bagwell, 89, of Greenville went to be with our Lord in the evening of December 15, 2010 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Ballard and Rev. Cary Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Viola was born October 22, 1921 in Cash in Hunt County to Jerry and Verdie Gambrell Lowe. She married Harvey L. Mize who preceded her in death. She later married Hugh Bagwell and he also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the House of Prayer.
She is survived by her children Nellie and Ralph Smith of DeSoto, Evelyn and Lee Elliott of Mesquite, Wilma Mize of Greenville, Harvey and Jeanie Mize of Caddo Mills, daughter-in-law Brenda K. Mize of Wills Point, Milton and Wanda Mize of Garland, son-in-law Michael Sanders of Greenville, David and Theresa Mize of Greenville, Sam and Pattie Mize of Rockwall, Anthony and Kathey Mize of Hayley, Alabama, Keith and Lisa Mize of Diana, and Brenda Mize Heath of Greenville; 32 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two children Gloria Janet Mize Sanders and Roger Mize; a beautiful great-granddaughter Hayley Ogden; three sisters; and a brother.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Smith, Jack Mize, Jeff Mize, Randy Mize and Jason Sanders. Honorary pallbearer will be Shannon Smith.
