She spent over 10 years as a missionary to Israel.  She established the first, Jerusalem Women’s Aglow in 1980 while volunteering at the “Life Line for the Old”, a Jewish organization for elderly people.  She worked for the Christian Embassy and was a coordinator in the Feast of Tabernacles Celebration for 1980-1987.  She returned to the states in 1994 to run Little Star Ministries, Inc. raising support for the missionaries left behind.  Her heart was always still in Jerusalem and she never ceased to pray for the peace of Israel.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tim Ellington and the caring staff of Hospice Plus.  A special thanks to a host of caregivers these last 6 months.  She left this message for you from Hebrews 6:10, “God will not forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name”, as you ministered and cared for her.

Memorials may be made to the building fund of New Life Church of  Caddo Mills or the Christian Friends of Israel.

"A queen who will be missed, but we know she is hanging out with the King of kings. If I could say one person in my life who was wisdom, she was it. The Love shone through her."

"I have been blessed to have a friend who not only shared a kindred spirit for the nation of Israel, but also loved and held me and my family in prayer. I, as probably others, consider Bettilee a listening ear, a shoulder of support, a heart of motherly concern, and sometimes a voice of the Lord. She was always striving to promote the kingdom of God in some way. She wasn't a missionary who retired, only relocated. Congratulations Bettilee on your graduation. I look forward to having more fun times together of learning more about our Lord Jesus. Until then, as you would say, shalomalechem (peace be unto you.)"
