William Boyd Reeves, Jr.

William Boyd Reeves, Jr. 83, of passed away March 4, 2011 at Briarcliff Health Center of Greenville. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Reeves was born January 25, 1928 in Tidwell, TX to William Boyd, Sr. and Dora Cobb Reeves. On July 16, 1948 he married Rose Marie Coppinger in Dallas. William served in the United States Navy, and was of the Baptist faith. He had retired from E-Systems as a supervisor, and had worked for the Fanci-Candy Company for 5 years.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie of Greenville, two sons, Terry Reeves and Steve and wife, Kim Reeves of Greenville, a daughter, Brenda Linton and husband, Jack of Celeste, three sisters, Mary Harwell and Freda Gooch of Greenville and Estelle Prince of Dallas, six grandchildren, Misty McMullan, Lindsay Walker, Kent Reeves, Tristan Reeves, Jamison Reeves and Kimberly Mason, six great-grandchildren, Mariah Martinez, Trenton Clem, Kloe Walker, Paris Walker, Presley Reeves and Ella Turner, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by son, Tracy Brian Reeves, parents, a brother, Wilton Reeves and three sisters, Louise Money, Lucille Colbert and Berniece Castle.

Pallbearers will be Kent Reeves, Tristan Reeves, Jamison Reeves, James McMullen, Derek Walker and Sammy Money.

Honorary pallbearers will be Al Colbert, Gerald Castle, Kenneth Prince, J.W. Reeves, Sr., Bob Harwell, Roy Rhoades and Wayne McHenry.
