Alfred J. Land, 88, of Dallas died Friday, April 1, 2011 in Hearthstone Assisted Living in Irving. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Hall Cemetery.
Mr. Land was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on September 6, 1922. He was the son of Amos Land and Etta Fields Land. He was married to Virginia Land who preceded him in death in 2010. Mr. Land was a stone mason.
He is survived by sons, Ronnie Land of Arlington and Charles Land of Dallas; daughter, Lisa Boge of Dallas; and grandchildren, Jeremy Whittaker, Heather Whittaker, Angela Zuniga, April Sikes, Aaron Land, John Fagan, Cody Land, Rhonda Land, Kelly Land, Josh Land and Nycky Land. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Michelle Whittaker in 1991.
