LaRue Kathrin “Nusz” Denney, 93, of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services will be at Coker-Mathews chapel on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. James Ralson officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Denney was born April 16, 1918 in Wolfe City, Texas to Samuel and May Bell Cunningham McWilliams. She married Aubrey A. (Joe) Denney on September 21, 1935 in Wolfe City, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Park St. Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Sue Myers and husband Johnny of Celeste, Nancy Jenkins and husband Harold of Lone Oak and Theresa Brand and husband Paul of Greenville; 10 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and was the last living of 11 siblings.
