Edward Illas Dorsey, 64, of Greenville, died Friday, January 4, 2008, in Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Memorial services will be held Monday, January 7, 2008, at 3:00 PM at Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Mr. Dorsey was born in Oregon on July 16, 1943, the son of Bascom and Dorothy Cox Dorsey. He was married to Carol Blankenship in Upper Marlboro, Maryland on September 11, 1978. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force , a member of the American Legion and a Baptist. He was an Aircraft Engineer at L-3 Communications Systems in Greenville.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Dorsey of Greenville; daughter, Terri Jones of Omaha, Nebraska; grandsons, Charles Burkett and Raymond Jones of Omaha, Nebraska; granddaughter, Lauren Jones of Omaha, Nebraska; great-granddaughter, Judah Burkett of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, James Dorsey of Arlington; and sister, Shari King of Kerrville. He was preceded in death by his father in 1981 and his mother in 1980.
