Mona was born on February 25, 1949, in Dallas, Texas to Martin Lynn Switzer and Margie Ann Kennedy Switzer. She attended Lida Hooe Elementary School, Greiner Jr. High School, and graduated from Sunset High School in 1967. She worked at several places in accounting and marketing. She retired from Ericson Communication after 12 years.
She worked as a volunteer at the Sottish Rite Hospital for 5 years, helping treat pediatric children, she loved every moment there.
She married Albert Trevino on February 27, 1988 and they lived in Garland, Texas. She loved watching Albert's son, Jeff Trevino compete in different sporting events, including baseball and football games. She loved gardening, taking care of the yard, watching scary movies, going to concerts live music, and going to the Casinos in Oklahoma. We enjoyed going over to her mother's house almost every Sunday to enjoy one of her mother's great meals and visit with mother and grandmother.
Mona has a big heart, she loved her mother, Margie Ann Switzer and grandmother, Mimi, and sister, Denise and nephew, Tommy would also make an appearance. When the grandkids, Joey and Jaxon started growing up and coming around, she enjoyed watching all their activities. She loved going over to her son and daughter-in-laws house to enjoy one of Jeff's gourmet meals which were outstanding.
After retiring in 2015, in 2017, Albert and Monda bought a house in Caddo Mills close to the family ranch in Merit. She loved to help feed cows and fish at the ranch pond. She was the kind of person once you meet her, you will never forget her, she was just so kind, loving and generous.

Fort Davis, TX Tuesday, October 22, 2024 Mona and Albert moved into the home next door to us in Caddo Mills several years ago. Mona and I became friends in a very short time. We would laugh at things that weren't funny to anyone but us. We talked about our plants, our yards and the things women talk about but our real bond was our love of animals. We loved on the neighborhood cat, and rescued more than one dog.
We moved from Caddo Mills 7 months ago and I have thought of Mona almost every day since we left. I will miss her dearly.
Albert we are so sorry for your loss.

Frisco, TX Thursday, October 17, 2024 Albert and family, I know that Mona will be missed by many. I worked with her at Hallmark, Collin Creek Mall, several years ago but kept in touch through Facebook. She was so special and unique. She was just that kind of person. We had so much fun working together even though I haven’t seen her in years I feel her loss. I never met Albert but have talked to him on the phone at Hallmark and he is special. When I think of her I see her sparkly eyes and her laugh. Good memories. So very sorry for your loss. DeeBeverly Hennigh
