Troy was born May 13, 1958, in Greenville, Texas to James Thomas and Neva Nell Johnson Wallace.
Troy and Linda married on August 17, 2019, in Greenville, Texas.
Troy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving in the Air Force Reserve from 1980-1993. He was a flight engineer on the C-130 for 8 years and the KC-10 for 6 years. Missions included air drops of troops and cargo and air to air refueling during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He received many medals, including The Adjutant General's Award in the State of Texas. He was an honor graduate of Chanute AFB where he received The Air Achievement Medal for aircraft responsibility and duties. A strong work ethic was instilled at an early age when Troy and his brother, Bryant, worked on the Borden's milk route with their dad and grandfather. He also worked as a milkman as an adult, in aircraft fabrication, and loved to mow yards. Anyone who knew Troy knew that he could not be outworked. Troy was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He never met a stranger and made friends everywhere he went.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Lone Oak, son Brad Shucker of Florida, daughter Leslie Warke of Shreveport; grandsons Cameron, Brayden, Trey, Ty, Jack, Logan and Brayden; granddaughters Katy Mae, Sydney, Kylie,Madeline and Baylee; stepsons Lonnie Chambers of Idaho and Shane Chambers of Wylie; brother Bryant Wallace of Spring; sisters Jamie Brumit of Lone Oak and Eva Green of Greenville; step brother Justin Arrington of Idaho; step sister Steveanne Ellis of Maryland; and many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Marquetta Wallace, stepfather Charles Arrington, brother Chad Wallace, stepbrother Ashley Arrington, nephew Daniel Wells, and grandparents J.T. and Modine Rickman Wallace, and Raymond and Cloteen Loper Johnson.
The family would like to thank Hospice Plus for their compassionate care during this challenging time.
